These frisky mammals got their name from their long beaks. They weigh between 500 and 1000 pounds (220 to 450 Kg.) and range in length from 8 to 11 feet (2.5 to 3.5 M.) 

Sociable and with a strong sense of community, they travel in schools, sometimes consisting of a hundred individuals. 

Dolphins are abundant in the Atlantic Ocean, but can be found in warm temperate seas anywhere in the world. Bottlenose dolphins eat fish, eels and shrimp.
