This is an excerpt from an article published in The Gazette
by Memorial University of Newfoundland.
| "After the tour, His Royal Highness was presented with a gift-a specially
commissioned painting by Jane Sasonow-White, an artist living in Norris
Arm who is known for her attention to scientific detail, and whose work
is sold at OSC. The painting was warmly received by the Duke of Edinburgh.
It depicts cold ocean species-including whales and fishes-found off the
coast of Newfoundland and Labrador." |
